​Doug also represents employees in claims of wrongful termination and employment discrimination, negotiates employment agreements, and represents employees in disputes regarding non-competition and non-disclosure agreements. He regularly advises business, governmental, and non-profit entities for which he serves as general counsel on all employment matters, including providing representation before state and federal wage and hour and fair employment agencies.

Doug graduated with honors from the University of Texas in 1989 and began practicing with the firm after completing a clerkship with the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, El Paso Division. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of Texas and the U.S. District Courts in the Western and Southern Districts of Texas.

Doug is active in community affairs, having served on the board of directors of organizations serving the homeless and protecting the physical environment, and has been a regular volunteer art (elementary grades) and computer skills (strictly kindergarten and first grade) instructor in public schools.
