Jessica Scott
Jessica Scott  focuses her practice in the areas of  civil litigation and administrative law, as well as providing complete in-house business legal services.  She has a diverse practice representing  individuals, businesses, and governmental bodies in their civil legal matters, including providing advice on and resolving tax, employment, and contract issues.  Jessica has a wealth of experience drafting and negotiating contracts, including deeds, easements, leases,  employment and vendor agreements, as well as experience in the field of probate and estate planning.  She advises clients on state incorporations, non-profit formation and tax-exempt status,  regulatory filings,  trademark and copyright infringement issues and protecting client marks through  federal and state trademark registrations. 

Prior to joining Scanlan, Buckle & Young in 2002, she served as briefing attorney to the Honorable E. Lee Yeakel on the Third Court of Appeals in Austin, Texas.  From 2008 to April 2010, Jessica was an Assistant General Counsel for the Texas A&M University System in College Station, Texas.

A member of the State Bar of Texas, Jessica is also  admitted to practice in all state courts and the Western, Southern, and Northern federal districts.  She is a 2000 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law and received her B.A., magna cum laude with Foundation Honors, in Political Science from Texas A&M University.

Jessica serves on the Terry Foundation Advisory Board and is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.  She has volunteered with the ALA Texas Bluebonnet Girls State program for almost twenty years and has served as a volunteer guardian ad litem through Voices for Children of Brazos County.
